Railway Paths Ltd and Sustrans, in partnership with the Erewash Museum, have put together a fascinating display showcasing the heritage of Bennerley Viaduct.  Don’t miss this fantastic celebration of the history of the 139 year old wrought iron viaduct.

The exhibition, funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund, occupies the Lally Gallery room in the Erewash museum and runs until 30 August. Outside school holidays the museum is open on Tuesday, Thursday, Friday & Saturday 10am to 4pm. During school holidays it is open Monday to Saturday 10am to 4pm, entry is free at all times.

Additionally, ongoing works are set to continue at Bennerley Viaduct, with thanks to funding from the Railway Heritage Trust. Preparatory works, including the removal of the unserviceable maintenance gantry, will commence over the summer.
